Meet Alex

I'm Alex, I'm a classically trained animator and comic creator turned tattoo artist. I grew up having my passion for art and storytelling encouraged by my elders by creating picture books. I've continued to create stories in everything from comics in grade school, to being trained as an animator, to art museum gallery shows, and comic convention artist alleys. In 2022, I dove head first into the tattoo industry to use my artistic experiences to connect with others and help them bring pieces of their stories to life through tattooing, and I’m lucky enough to have been tattooing for 2 years now.

The more experience I've gained as a tattoo artist, the more passion I've gained for the artform itself. Unfortunately spaces that are truly open to Black Femmes and Queer Black folks are hard to find in many creative communities. I was able to work with the support of my community to bring New Night Tattoo Studio to life. In my private studio, I work with clients with all body types and skin tones to cultivate a one of a kind tattoo experience that focuses on comfort throughout and sharing the joy that comes from tattooing with them.

What are flash tattoos?

Tattoos based off of predrawn designs and preset pricing.

How do I book a custom tattoo?

Under our books open tab you can put down a deposit to set a date with Alex.

What days do you book?

My booking schedule is now Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1pm-9pm.

Do you take appointments outside of the booking calendar?

Yes! Reach out to us by email or instagram to put down a deposit via Venmo or square and to set up any future appointments.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, when I am on site I can take walk-ins. My booking schedule is now Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1pm-9pm.

How can I guest at New Night?

Reach out to Alex via info@newnighttattoo.com with your desired dates and guest portfolio.

What is your guest rate?

35% of your total tattoos for the duration of your guest spot.

Do you provide supplies to guest artists?

Yes we provide ppe (grip tape, barrier film, razors, green soap, witch hazel, distilled water, rubbing alcohol, a&d packs, dental film, seran wrap, disposable water cups, bottle bags, chord covers, tongue depressors, ink caps, shop towels, stretcher sheets, etc.) along with a station to work out of and pillows, armrests, massage beds as needed.

What's your shop minimum?

$100 unless it's apart of a special rate/deal.
