I'm Alex, I'm a classically trained animator and comic creator turned tattoo artist. I grew up having my passion for art and storytelling encouraged by my elders by creating picture books. I've continued to create stories in everything from comics in grade school, to being trained as an animator, to art museum gallery shows, and comic convention artist alleys. In 2022, I dove head first into the tattoo industry to use my artistic experiences to connect with others and help them bring pieces of their stories to life through tattooing.

The more experience I've gained as a tattoo artist, the more passion I've gained for the artform itself. Unfortunately spaces that are truly open to Black Femmes and Queer Black folks are hard to find in many creative communities. I was able to work with the support of my community to bring New Night Tattoo Studio to life. In my private studio, I work with clients with all body types and skin tones to cultivate a one of a kind tattoo experience that focuses on comfort throughout and sharing the joy that comes from tattooing with them.
